Back by popular demand, the Mobile Bass Bin will draw plenty of outdoorsmen, women and kids to view scores of genuine whopper bass in a natural environment. Casting from atop the large tank will be well-known professional bass and sport fishermen from around the country which will educate and give informative seminars on the how-to’s of fishing for and catching monster fish.
Also returning will be the Kids Trout Pond which nothing in the world “hooks” the expression on a child’s face when he or she catches their very first trout.
Anglers can also learn to fly-cast and tie flies, taught by some of the world fly fishing moguls. Don’t miss out on one of these fly casting seminars, they will have something for the novice to the expert. There will also be master fly tying gurus on hand to teach, show and tell all about their favorite patterns.
With the sport of archery gaining popularity among hunters and novices alike, young archers are invited to try their hand at shooting bows and arrows throughout the event in a safe, sane and fun manner.
Ever wonder what a 200-plus-inch mule deer antlers look like? How about a 400-plus-inch elk or a world class antelope? Just how big are a 230-inch whitetail deer’s antlers? Back again this year will be the all new ‘Eastman’s’ Trophy Deer Display’, a compiling of some of the largest big game animals ever taken in North America that draws hundreds of curious hunters and non-hunters alike.
One of the largest draws at the show is the return of renowned dog training handlers and their retrievers, pointers and setters. The field dog and agility trials are amazing to watch as one dog after another finds, points and retrieves live game birds in full view of the audience.
Once again, the 6th Annual Doc Dogs West Coast Challenge jumping contest will return to dazzle spectators with tall and long canine leaps. Of special interest will be the “World Qualifier” event, big news in the dock dog business, where the highest finishing animals will earn their way on into the world jumping championships.
